\nIn the endless vastness where beings who themselves are endless play, stories beyond the scope of the endless beings themselves, within themselves have a tendency to take place.
\nThe endless are beings whom play about vastness, subject only to their own whim. Many are content to simply frolic about leaving bright trails of the light that shines in them from within. Many are not even aware that other exist, simple making up a grand portrait of anonymous entities. Though, this is not to say that no endless are unaware of the scope of the vastness and presence of other endless.
\nKarn was just such an entity. Karn was often fascinated by the interplay of other endless. Some followed patterns others did not. Some moved about violently, and yet others were slow and even paced. Karn’s fascination with another endless peaked when Karn encountered the endless Neh.
\nNeh was more striking to the senses than anything Karn had witnessed in the vastness before. Karn’s eye’s stung slightly adjusting. Ears rung, but was enamored by the buzz. An intoxicating taste seemed to float on the ether, and washing over Karn was some feeling that was as calming as it was enticing. Karn who had once been fascinated by the patterns of the others now was stuck, encircling, entranced by Neh. Neh, who for all of Karn’s visceral reaction did not seem to take notice of this new admirer. Neh was unique among the endless. Where many seemed to be capricious and driven by their own whim, Neh chose to spend the time of an endless being in mediation. A bright stationary object in vastness.
\nKarn spent much time pondering what Neh was content to meditate on. Karn would eventually not unlike a fixed satellite to Neh, hope that Neh’s attention might just once been taken from meditation to notice an admirer. However, Neh remained in the trance, contemplating on what, was between Neh and that which begot the vastness. As Karn spent more and more time in the presence of such satisfying energy, Karn became more and more content to simply just remain in an orbit.
\nKarn slowly started to feel as though there was meaning in simply just being aware of Neh’s existence. Karn began to feel the glow of the endless become more internalized. In this Karn began to fall into a stasis. The endless, are just that, but Karn seemed to give in to a force that while muting personal energies, allowed an intermingling with the radiance of Neh.
\nKarn was becoming no more, yet from Karn’s being and Neh’s exuberance began to develop something new. These new creatures were not endless, yet the memory of Karn’s sacrifice would be with them whether they knew it or not. Many variety of creatures sprout forth from Karn. Possessing properties representative of senses of Karn’s which were once overwhelmed by the spectacle of Neh. From Karn’s burning eyes sprang creatures who were branded with fire. From the Karn’s buzzing ears emerged creatures that could ride and direct the winds. From the sensation on Karn’s now hardened skin grew hardened creatures that could manipulate the ground which was once Karn. And from the mouth and nose of Karn, where soft and sweet scents once played flowed water and creatures that controlled mists and torrents.
\nKarn would eventually house a menagerie of creatures whose energy came from Karn, and like Karn possessed and adoration for Neh.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
